Yes, those were the first to go out to be replaced with after market headlights. Yamaha RXZ was very enticing and it was right there to be bought but it looked like there were last few left in the stock after which they would stop selling them. Anyway, the Fazer came home and I knew it was not a performance vehicle so I went ahead making it worse by putting some alloys, thicker tyres etc. Never regretted the ride although always wished Yamaha came up with something better soon. Wedding bells rang and it was time to move on to a car to portray that family image and come out of the dating days.
Glad that my membership got approved in team-bhp and I was greeted with plethora of information. Zeroed down on the Swift and that's something that still adorns my Garage gleaming even after 5 years.
Yamaha launched the R Ah, time to get back into biking but there were things that held me back. To be specific, the designing cues. Waited for quite some time and almost convinced myself to pick up the Red and White v1. First thing first, went to a good helmet shop and bought a red and white Cross helmet.
Waited for a month hoping to see something change and Presto. There were no end to speculations. Seeing scoops of the images I decided to go for it when it releases.
Never in my distant dream that I thought that there will be a lag of around a year from scoop images to release. Mid Guess so came the real thing out of the wraps. I was convinced to go for it although it was a good thought again to wait for the launch for the real specs.
The launch was done and it was 2 months without any major issues reported across forums. Reviews came in nice and happy although the wish for the bigger engine remained. That's my birth month and I thought of gifting myself something for a change.
I was in no hurry for the bike. The sales man was surprised and said, "This is the first time someone is asking us to delay the delivery. My wife whom I really wanted to surprise as she is more interested in bikes than cars got to know about it as she saw a message from me to a friend asking about the v2. Well, when I said family; I meant her Once she knew, it was in the open. Late Dec I got a call from the showroom saying that as per priority list, my bike was ready for delivery on 5Jan Would I u be interested to take it or should we assign it to someone else, was the question.
Suddenly gifting myself on my birthday and all started sounding so very stupid. Yes was the answer. Went to the showroom, made the payment and was all ready to take the delivery on 5Jan Being a lucky day because of a festival celebrated in South, my in laws were very happy with the date. My parents being aligned to the number 5 were also happy. Having both sides happy is a rare things hence it suddenly made so much sense to collect it on that date itself.
My wife had a requirement of the numbers to be added to 9 and for that there was some extra payment. We hope to get the number quite similar to the car.
The night before I took out my long forgotten Cramster Jacket, Cramster Gloves and the Helmet which was destined to be used sometime soon.

And now is the time. I went for work in the morning and asked my wife to pick me up at around hrs to take me to the showroom because the delivery was expected at hrs. All was set till I got a call from the showroom saying that the bike is ready to be delivered by hrs itself.
I could pick it up anytime from then.

If I could pre-pone the buy couple of months before, why not few hours too. Asked my wife to come over earlier, went to the showroom and there it was. I had seen v2. The aggressive styling and meaty section rear tyre of the motorcycle quickly grabbed the attention of enthusiasts who were craving for a dominating yet pocket-friendly ride.
Aug 21, The true streetfighter design is something that was missing from the Indian mass bike segment until Yamaha came up with the first-generation FZ16 in But everything changes with the time and the hunger for power kept increasing. While most have been happy with the cc models, there were some willing to get a level-up.
Manufacturers introduced a new segment which was perfect for those looking for an affordable performance machine - the entry-level-performance category. Yes, there were some naked sport bikes as well in the category, but the FZ fans were still waiting for something else.
Finally, Yamaha understood the need of its Indian buyers after more than eight years and the result is here.

While most of the bikes take inspiration from their elder siblings, the FZ25 follows the design lines of the smaller FZs. However, the cc model looks slightly bigger and definitely much meaner as compared to its cc version. The low-slung LED headlamp gives a transformer face to the bike which is further complimented with a masculine litre fuel tank.
The chiselled tank cladding gets big air scoops on both sides, adding to the 'wild' appeal.

There is an all-digital instrument cluster with lots of information. However, the LCD screen looks a little disappointing in terms of size. The seat cowls are sleek but wide which makes the Yamaha FZ25 look chubby from the rear. However, the stubby exhaust saves them from making the rear profile disproportionate.
The split-seat is a basic and is not new to the segment while the tyre hugger sports a new, smart saree guard. The design of short hugger further compliments the new chain cover that is attached to the box section swingarm.
The spoke alloys are also new and look sportier than the five-spoke ones on the smaller FZs. The quality of the materials used on the bike is quite nice and the fit and finish are also satisfactory.
Designed keeping the FZ fans in mind, the model features most of the signature elements from the series but in slightly scaled-up form. Along with the speedo, tacho, odometer and a fuel gauge, it packs a digital clock, two trip meters, and average and instantaneous fuel consumptions. The white illumination of the always on LED headlamp gives a new feel.
However, it is no different from a conventional unit in terms of illumination besides the three LED elements saving on the battery. The tail lamp is an LED unit as well while the turn indicators remain conventional. Yamaha dropped the idea of liquid-cooling and adapted an oil-cooler for the new cc motor. So, basically, it is a single-pod, air-cooled motor that is claimed to deliver
