ncis - Did McGee and Abby ever get into a relationship? - Movies & TV Stack Exchange
Timothy "Tim" Farragut McGee is a fictional character from the CBS television .. they are still very close and often tease each other about their previous relationship/dates (sexual jokes, suggestive comments, etc.). They were never actually in a relationship! They started dating after Sub Rosa ( Season 1) then things went pearshaped after McGee asked. When CBS' NCIS opens Season 11 on Sept. 24, it won't just be the viewers of TV's most watched drama laying their eyes on McGee's new girlfriend for the first time. McGee and Abby, like Tony and the other characters, are due for some .. WHICH I HOPE HIS REAL LIFE HEALTH DOESN'T EVER MAKE.
This is shown to be an interest shared by his sister Sarah, as seen in the episode "Red Cell", when she takes over his live war game as he leaves his apartment. Gemcity", an anagram of Timothy McGee. Gibbs allows McGee to take the lead in the case because of this knowledge. McGee is also shown to be an expert tracker, being able to find a cadaver without the assistance of dogs by reading changes in the land and observing bird droppings.
He revealed he was a scout, which occupied his time while his father was deployed. He even said "I love the outdoors", much to the chagrin of the more city-like DiNozzo. However, at least twice McGee has encountered poison ivy and suffered severe rashes. It became known in the episode " Cover Story " that McGee has been successful as a writer, and garnered a fanbase. It was kept a secret from the NCIS team for a long time.
Under his pseudonym "Thom E. Gemcity" an anagram of "Timothy McGee" he has penned at least two novels as part of the Deep Six series, one published and one in progress. The Continuing Adventures of L. Tibbs whose name and character are based on Leroy Jethro Gibbs suggests there have been previous novels, but these have yet to be named, though the cover of McGee's first revealed book states that it is volume one. The next of McGee's books to be released, and sequel to its predecessor is entitled Deep Six: Sean Murray commented, "As Thom E.
Gemcity, he takes many liberties. I don't know if he knew the first book was going to be as successful as it was. But now he's got to run with it. I'm sure success has just increased his level of anxiety. It is then discovered that the story was stolen from the typewriter ribbon McGee threw away, and that Abby could be the next victim. McGee's writing has given him enough fame to be feted as a minor celebrity and he can enjoy perks such as VIP clubbing, as seen in the episode " Friends and Lovers ".
McGee has ostensibly used the profits from his writing to purchase a Porsche Boxster seen in the episode "Twisted Sister" and an Armani leather jacket seen in the episode " Dead Man Walking ". He later mentions that he put the rest into a hedge fund, which crashed. In the episode " Smoked ", it is shown that in his novel Deep Six, McGee portrays "Tommy" and "Lisa" as lovers, "Pimmy" as a necrophiliac a reference to Jimmy's job as Ducky's assistant in the autopsy room and "Tibbs" as in love with a Lt.
In the Season 11 premiere, McGee began dating Delilah Fielding Margo Harshmana Department of Defense " cryptologist in a dark office" the team meets while investigating a case. In the episode " Alleged ", Tony claims that McGee has been "emancipated from coupledom" but McGee clarifies that Delilah has actually "[landed] a dream job half-way around the world". Delilah had been assigned to Dubai and McGee gave her a copy of his house key, which she accepts, reiterating her intent to move in with him after her assignment is over.
Field Team[ edit ] As the junior field agent of the team, McGee is often subject to teasing from DiNozzo and Kate and Ziva often together though Kate and Ziva's teasing is not as mean-spirited as DiNozzo'sand, to some extent, Gibbs, though he doesn't come to head-smack him until later, unlike Kate and DiNozzo, who do so simultaneously on the day of his promotion almost immediately after Tim mentioned the word 'hazing'.
In one episode, Gibbs walked into the lab, found him lying on the floor on his back while working on the underside of Abby's hotbox, and quipped, "Special Agent Goodwrench? In subsequent episodes, Tony often pulls his seniority card by taking advantage of McGee's naivete and tricking him into performing less desirable tasks such as searching for a gun in a muddy ditch with only a metal detector and bagging bear poo while investigating a bear attack, brushing off McGee's protests with "because I can".
In " Singled Out ", a frustrated McGee futilely tells Tony to stop calling him "probie"; Gibbs later tells McGee that his former mentor Mike Franks still calls him "probie" even though he retired nearly a decade ago.
McGee's most notable nicknames come from DiNozzo, either "Probie", due to his junior probational status on the team, or "McGeek", alluding to McGee's intelligence.
Initially he is intimidated by Gibbs, especially after incurring his wrath having accidentally drunk or spilled his coffee several times during his earlier seasons.
Gibbs himself is shown to gain more respect of McGee over time, as his personality matures and he becomes a more assertive character. Gibbs has also shown substantial trust and faith in his abilities over the course of time. In the episode " Witness ", Gibbs sent McGee to check out a possible murder of a Navy Petty Officer and let him decide whether to call an investigation. He let McGee accompany him into the interrogation room while still a "probie" and allows him interrogate a suspect alone as early as the Season 3 episode " Deception ".
McGee is always shown as a computer consultant to Gibbs. It resembles one of brother and sister. McGee was the first person to point out that Ziva was avoiding Tony at the start of season 7 and that sooner or later she would have to straighten out that relationship. He is much more comfortable and confident around Ziva than her predecessor, Kate Todd. When Ziva was in Israel between seasons 5 and 6, she and McGee e-mailed each other once a week.
McGee has been to Ziva's house at least once, he was invited to her dinner party in season 3. McGee was also the one to show Ziva some ways to work from the area they live, and in return she gave him an apple — which Tony immediately stole before McGee was aware of the gift. Throughout season 7 as Ziva prepares to become an American citizen McGee supports her, even testing her, and attends her naturalization ceremony. McGee tries to personally upgrade the network wiring since the union won't do it due to the heat.
When Kate discovers him under her desk, she believes McGee is trying to look up her skirt and despite McGee's protests, drags him up from underneath by his ears. Seconds later, McGee tells Tony he didn't look and Tony says he believes him, only for him to ask if Kate is a "pantyhose or a thong girl" but McGee doesn't reply as Kate responds by elbowing DiNozzo in the stomach.
After Todd's death, like the rest of the grief-stricken team, McGee had to cope with the loss of a friend, and like DiNozzo would fantasize about her. With Ziva's departure in the episode " Aliyah ", McGee is promoted to be Tony's partner in the field, and their relationship in the episode " Truth or Consequences " is shown to be friendly. For example, Tony used McGee's first name, Tim, more often and hasn't called him 'Probie' since season seven began.
However, despite his junior status on the team, it is apparent that, despite teasing, he is on friendly, even familial, terms with every member of the team.
Tony "So whatever happened between you and Abby?
Abby and McGee - NCIS
I guess the tat on the old caboose did the trick. Did you see any art on her caboose? McGee replies "I'm on her. I'm on it, Sir. Later on in the episode Abby and Tim are processing evidence, after finding out the killer had herpes they have an interesting conversation about sex and STDs. His medical records were admitted. Petty Officer Curtin had an extensive physical done before he went overseas.
And I mean extensive. Her medical records were admitted during trial. Her last physical was six months before she was murdered when her husband was in Afghanistan. Tony attempts to steal his lunch, but Abby takes it back.
Abby smiling very widely at McGee gives it back, McGee blushes but keeps on working. Abby offers McGee a place to stay while he is on the case, it is unclear if he accepts the offer.
However, McGee later admits to doing some hinky things with Abby, but says it was all her idea. Tony tricked him into this confession by saying Abby told him how they "closed the deal. Abby sips her Caf-Pow she slides it to McGee and he takes a sip and then slides it back to Abby and she takes another sip. Abby "McGee is all mad at me. Abby "McGee likes it. What was I supposed to say? Why do guys have to push the issue? McGee is visibly bothered by his 'fight' with Abby.
I loved your poem! Abby "Can't you type any faster? He looks up at her and smiles. This is the first but not the last time they type together like this.
Gibbs doesn't know Ari's name yet. Abby backs up McGee's idea. He is shocked to find he slept in a coffin. He stay at your place? You said it was a box sofa bed.
Abby "Okay, now make him older than mummy dust. Now as a young guy on his first date. What if I watch from way over here!? He gets very mad and irritated. After Gibbs storms out Abby and McGee look at each other and smile. Like they thought it was funny that Gibbs got so mad at them. In the bullpen Abby is sitting suggestively on Gibb's desk next to McGee who is sitting in Gibbs' chair. They are talking to Tony and Ducky about Ari. It seems throughout the episode Abby and McGee have completely gotten over their fight from the last episode.
Season 2 By this season it seems the sexual relationship has amicably dissolved: She gets discouraged and McGee lifts her spirits by figuring out they were hacking in the wrong place. He starts to geek-speak. Abby "I love it when you talk geek. McGee "Yes, team McGee does it again. He must have switched off the audio. Abby tells McGee to get her 'evidence', and says she will show him her new tat if he does as she asks, however he does not know the tat is on her ankle.
You are turning me on! Where most of the crop circles were found. I thought two farmers admitted to creating them. I need pictures, and lots of them.
And specimens of stalks down to the roots. And a core sample of soil at least twelve inches. And make sure you get a control sample from outside the circle. Do it for me, please. Abby "Did you feel any energy when you were inside the circle, McGee? Did you get a tingling sensation or start to vibrate? He is worried about her and tells her to go home and get some sleep since she hasn't slept in two days. Abby "There is a definite difference. The plants inside the crop circle were changed in a way that is beyond human ability.
So go home, get some sleep. He starts typing on her computer What are you doing? The design of the smaller, outer circles was created by bending the corn stalks down in a clockwise direction. But look under the helicopter. Those plants were forced outward from the center by the downdraft of the blades. The corn was still standing and was forced down by the landing of the Cobra. This crop circle is a hoax, Abby.
Jane Doe McGee is rewiring Abby's hotbox. He is lying on his back under her desk, while she is sitting in her desk chair. She is wearing a skirt so he probably has a good view while he works.
McGee "Is that good for you? McGee gets nervous and Abby geek-speaks to Gibbs about her hotbox. Gibbs leaves the lab. Now get back down there. She threatens him when he starts to show Petty Officer Cluxton the polarizing microscope. She voices her jealousy by saying "You two that formal when exchanging bodily fluids?
Later on Abby seems happy to find out that P. Cluxton is a lesbian and her and McGee are just friends. McGee tries to help her stop the hacker but since the virus is moving too fast he can't get it to stop either.
Finally Gibbs walks in and pulls the plug on her computer. Later on they turn her computer back on and the hacker comes back but they find out that the hacker is the FBI. Abby and McGee are in her lab going through evidence. Abby "You know what I think, McGee? Well, how could you say that? McGee comes down to Abby's lab just to check on her and see what she is working on. To Tony, McGee makes two separate claims of having a date; Once at the beginning Tony says that McGee and him were the only ones alone last night.
McGee tells him to speak for himself. And one at the end of the episode. It could be Abby, but Tony probably would have known about it already. You ready to plunge into the seedy side of the internet with me?
McGee "Right, the case. When Abby and McGee show the website they found to the others, Abby shows her profile she just made. Kate and Tony comment "You have a profile. Abby goes undercover at the website company, she turns the camera to herself and asks if McGee is there. When he replies "Here Abs. At the very end of this episode Abby finally gets a hold of Gibbs. She was calling him to tell him who the attacker is.
He says he already knows and hangs up on her. Abby points the phone at McGee. When Gibbs asks for McGee, Abby walks over to him, puts the headset no his head. When Abby and McGee walk back into view of the video feed, look really close, they are holding hands. McGee gets himself assigned to help Abby.
Tony makes a smart-alik remark about McGee being alone with Abby. When McGee stops by Abby's lab he brings her a Caf-Pow and they have a lengthy conversation about crappy jobs. We find out that McGee was a burnt potato-chip picker, porta potty cleaner when it was the hottest summer on recordand cleaned asbestos. Abby was an incinerator operator, ski lift operator when it was degrees F and collected road kill.
McGee tells another Navy computer geek that Abby is the one that found the code. When the Navy geek asks if Abby is hot McGee says she is probably not his type. When McGee and Abby are in her lab they talk about Viagra for women. Tim laughs at the idea but Abby gets irritated and Tim immediately backtracks. McGee "Viagra for women? McGee is feeling depressed about not finding a computer code. McGee "How could I have missed this yesterday? Kind of sucks for an investigation.
Abby walks up behind him, ruffles his hair and kisses his head. This implies that they still sleep together from time-to-time. Abby "If it is a crime scene. It is a crime scene. And because Erin is sitting so close to McGee. Her music even changes from normal to very mad and annoying and is louder than normal.
Abby wins the bet. This is also the infamous poison ivy episode. McGee gets severe poison ivy everywhere. His arms, hands, face, boys. He looks a lot like Two-Face from Batman. Abby jokes around and tells him to use calamine lotion or wear a mask. She tries to make him feel better by telling him the same thing happened to Tony during his first year. Time asks her how he looks and Abby replies "You are the fairest of the land McGee. Tony says they can't, Kate says they can and Abby says they can if they have sex.
She then asks Tony and Kate if they've ever has sex with a friend. Maybe Abby is talking about her relationship with McGee. They start talking about the case and Tony says "Suspect claims he went to bed with one woman and woke up with another. At night, some guy seems all dark and gnarly, and then you wake up and his tattoos are fake and he works at a bank. Again this implies that McGee and Abby still sleep together. Abby and Palmer get accidentally super glued together.
Abby drags Palmer across Autopsy trying to get unstuck. McGee walks in to see Palmer's hands gripped tightly around Abby's wrists and notices Abby looks distressed. McGee protectively yells "Palmer!! What the hell are you doing?! Abby says "McGee, I need acetone and band-aids fast! Abby say "You didn't have to yell at him. He's terrified of you now. McGee says he will apologize to Palmer later. Abby nods her head in agreement. McGee starts to explain that he was just being protective of her but AFIS starts beeping and it interrupts his speech.
Gibbs walks in waiting to know what is on the laptop. The entire time they finish each others sentences. This shows that they know each other so well they know what the other is thinking 2. McGee holds up a bag containing a container of glue. He asks Abby what it is and she replies that it is called 'Bikini Glue' it's used to hold bikini bottoms in place so they don't ride up.
McGee says he's never heard of it before. Abby informs him that she used to go through sticks of it when she was 'on the circuit'. McGee looks at her interested in her story. Abby says "There's so much you don't know about me.
When Kate walks in with the dead woman's letters McGee divides the pile into thirds and tells Abby and Kate to start looking through the mail. Abby says "I love it when you're rough, McGee. Later on in the episode he gets down about not being able to find the suspect and Abby tries to cheer him up by saying "We are better! I thought you went to MIT! This episode is also the one where Abby tells the 'creepy voice' "You might be smart, but MY geek carries a gun!
Abby then asks McGee if he knows anything about ki, implying she wants a massage from him. McGee and Abby play rock, paper, scissors to see who is going to ask Gibbs if they can leave or if they have to stay. She is leaning into the trunk, Tim stands behind her and stares at her butt.
Without turning around Abby playfully says "Quit staring at my butt and get me an evidence jar. If the terrorist didn't shoot at him and make him move, Ari's shot would have killed him. Tim is sad when Abby finds it sweet that McGee wants to protect her, but doesn't realize that's all he wanted to do, with or without Gibbs' orders. McGee "What is with this music?
On the way to the cemetery, we play a dirge. Do you know what a dirge is, Timmy? That is so sweet! Abby Gibb-slaps McGee twice.McAbby Couple Moments In Season 1
Once in the evidence garage and once in her lab when he is fantasizing about Kate. He doesn't even flinch, he just smiles and takes it. McGee is assigned as Abby's protection. Abby and McGee are the ones that try to calm Gibbs down by telling him that they think Ducky is with Gerald at a pub. Abby catches a break in the case and comes running into the bullpen. Abby sits down at his desk and starts typing at his computer Uh, what are you doing?
N-O-R orbited a new Keyhole. Abby "Why the seventh hole? Whatever the reason, we are grateful because that orbit took the Keyhole over Newport News! A video of him shooting? A black Chevy Suburban driving down the alleyway.
The full license plate shows up on the screen. Abby throws her hands in the air in excitement and McGee hugs her from behind and pulls her out of his chair. This suggests they sat next to each other. Perhaps, they needed to be beside each other for support.
She is talking about the case and McGee is ignoring her. She plays around telling him she is having twins and Gibbs is the father. He keeps ignoring her. Tony walks in and Abby complains that McGee is ignoring her. Tony Gibbs-slaps McGee and tells him to stop ignoring Abby because she is sensitive. McGee looks at Abby and tells her "Sorry", Abby smiles at him. Again, McGee and Abby get into a lengthy conversation while geek-speaking. Abby tells McGee she is impressed by him and his computer skills.
They discuss the difference between luck and science. During the entire conversation they are sitting facing each other with their knees touching.
Abby "That should do it. That shows how much attention you pay to me. It was nine, Timmy.
NCIS star: I’m not going anywhere like the others
Did we do it? Yes, I think that we fixed it. I think the circuits are — just how many Caff-Pows have you had today, Abby? Now hook up the cell phone board and get cracking before Gibbs decides to crack you one. So I suggest we get started. Abby catches him, walks out with a coy grin Abby "See something you like, McGee? She glances at him a little upset. He changes his answer I mean, yes? What were you going to tell me?
Abby gets very jealous and threatens McGee when she thinks he has a crush on Ziva. McGee "Abby, Ziva was amazing. I am one of the few people in the world who can murder you and leave no forensic evidence. Knowing Abby's macabre personality, she most likely sent McGee the video. McGee worries that Gibb is going to be furious for not knowing the video looks real, but doesn't give his girlfriend's name away.
McGee takes the blame to protect Abby. Abby checks the video and says it looks real and unaltered. She then tells McGee she is sorry. Again, Abby most likely sent the video to McGee and is now apologizing for it. This indicates that Abby watches a lot of weird videos on the web. Abby doesn't reveal that she is McGee's girlfriend or that she sent the video.
However, she defends McGee as though it was her fault. When Abby mentions she watched porn with Chip McGee gets defensive. Abby "I guess it was worth it then. The reaction Pauley gets from Sean and Mark is their actual reaction. Chip leaves and McGee asks Abby how she gets any work done with Chip around. McGee tries to take away her old Caf-Pow and make her feel better about Tony being in jail.
What are you doing? What time is it? I lost two hours. All the FBI left me was a speck of blood and a carpet fiber. I have to look at this from a new perspective. She turns her head and stares at his butt. She sounds jealous Why is Ziva rating your butt? McGee asks Abby to run the dead guys prints. When Tim is distressed, Abby goes to great lengths to relieve that distress, such as setting up an aromatherapy room for him to his disgust but she handcuffs him to the chair so he cannot escape - love ain't truer than that.
Ducky said his liver showed signs of cirrhosis, but he was clean and sober last night. Come with me, McGee she links arms with him. What is that smell?
What are these things? He picks up the bottle and reads the label Used for the treatment of depression, nervous tension, flatulence, and irritable bowel syndrome. Abby handcuffs McGee to the chair Where did you get these? Just relax, enjoy, and inhale. Tim has much to be despondent about, at that stage. McGee tells Abby all about Tony coming over to 'cheer him up'.
Abby comes running into the squadroom declaring that Rule 8 will "Save you McGee! Abby "I thought you would be out celebrating. The slugs are too damaged. Does it really matter?
